Effective February 1, 2026, the Metro ExpressLanes processing fees for Pay-As-You-Go Notices of Toll Evasion Violations will increase from $8 per occurrence to $9 per occurrence, while the Past Due Toll Evasion penalty will decrease from $17 to $16 per occurrence.  The Delinquent Toll Evasion penalty will remain unchanged at $30 per occurrence.  Please note that these fees and penalties are additive at each Notice of Toll Evasion Violation enforcement-escalation stage.

These changes are necessary to ensure that the Pay-As-You-Go fees remain sufficient to cover the processing costs associated with Pay-As-You-Go violations, and are consistent with the Fee Adjustment Policy approved by the Metro Board in June 2023.

The Metro ExpressLanes Pay-As-You-Go program is designed to make the ExpressLanes more accessible to drivers by reducing the costs of using the lanes without FasTrak. Pay-As-You-Go Notices of Toll Evasion Violations are issued to vehicles that use the Metro ExpressLanes without a valid FasTrak® account.
