This weekend, Caltrans crews will be demolishing an unused pedestrian bridge over I-110 just south of the 10 freeway near Downtown Los Angeles. As a result, I-110 South will be reduced to one lane from Friday night to Saturday morning, and there will be a full freeway closure in both directions from Saturday night to Sunday morning. Nearby ramps will also be affected. This work is not currently expected to require any closures of the ExpressLanes. For more information, see Caltrans District 7’s post about the closure.

Metro ExpressLanes will be closely monitoring traffic conditions in the area throughout the closure period, and remains ready to take appropriate steps as warranted to keep the ExpressLanes available as a fast, reliable, and convenient alternative to the general purpose lanes on I-110. Real-time information about the ExpressLanes will remain available throughout the weekend on all ExpressLanes pricing signs. Carpools with two or more persons and FasTrak Flex travel free in the ExpressLanes, while all others can choose to pay the dynamically calculated toll amount. Transit vehicles have unrestricted access to the ExpressLanes as well, offering a convenient alternative to driving for travelers on I-110.
